⏳ Days Between

ℹ️ What this tool does & how it works

Deadline maths has one trap and four answers. The trap is whether you count the start day — project people say a task from Monday to Friday is 5 days, calendars say it is 4 nights away. This page prints both conventions, the exact difference (n weeks, d days and y years, m months, d days), and the weekday-free count with weekends removed by whole-week arithmetic rather than a loop.

Two conventions, one honest page

"Days between" means different things to different people: hotels count nights (arrive Monday, depart Friday = 4), project managers count working days on the calendar (Mon–Fri = 5), and legal deadlines usually count neither — they add N days to the trigger date and take the weekday that lands. The difference is exactly one at every boundary, which is why this page prints the excluded-start number as the headline and the included one beside it. The month breakdown exists because "63 days" is not how you tell someone their leave ends; "2 months and 2 days" is.
